| Direct Debit service enables you to make different types of transfers: | | |
1. FIXED AMOUNT TRANSFERS: | This type of transfer is made for month to month fixed amount utility payments such as DSL internet service, insurance premiums, cable TV or water supply. This kind of service is often called a "Standing Order"
During the registration process a customer must indicate the amount, friquency and period of transfers to be made. For example: a customer gives a standing order to TBC bank to transfering 25$ on the 15th of each month for 2 years to the insurance company to cover the cost of the car insurance policy.
Both GEL and USD transfers can be made via Standing Order. Even though GEL transfers are available to any direction, USD transfers are available only to the certain companies. For more detailed information please, contact TBC Bank |
| 2. VARIABLE AMOUNT TRANSFERS: | A customer does not need to specify a particular amount to be transferred monthly, neither does he point the exact period. The bank itself will "ascertain" the debts by means of an electronic bill obtained from the utility company. These kinds of transfers will always be performed in Lari. Payments will be permanently made until the client cancels the Direct Debit service. A good example is the payment for utility company Telasi - electricity fees differ every month and respectively, the bank transfers various amounts from the customer's account. |
| How it works? |
| Transfers will always be made by the bank on time. The only thing you need to do is to have enough funds on your bank accounts at the transfer date! You can register savings account in USD, GEL or EUR) in addition to the current account: if while making the transfer, the sum of money on the current account is not sufficient and the customer has a balance on his savings account, amount will be transferred to the current account and the transfer will be made. |
| WHAT HAPPENS WHEN THERE ARE NOT SUFFICIENT FUNDS ON YOUR ACCOUNTS? |
| If you do not have sufficient funds on your account for the due date, the transfer will not be performed. For example, if your arrears for Telasi makes up 30 Lari and you have only 10 Lari on your account, transfer will not be accomplished.
At the end of each day the bank will check the remainder on your account. As soon as you deposit or transfer the relevant amount to your account, the bank will automatically make your transfer
In order to avoid cutting electricity, phone services and some other similar problems, always keep on your account sufficient funds for automatic transfers!
In case you are a user of Direct Debit service and despite this, you make payment by some other means to the utility company (for instance, you pay money at the Telasi Payment Centres or via internet banking), your money will not be lost. This amount will appear on an electronic receipt obtained by the bank from the utility company and will be considered while making next automatic transfer. |
HOW TO FIND OUT WHEN AND HOW MUCH THE BANK HAS TRANSFERRED TO A UTILITY COMPANY? |
| The simplest way of control is to check the statement of your account periodically. It is very convenient using our internet banking program. Account statement can also be received regularly by electronic mail and the bank will ensure your FREE registration for the respective service.
In addition, the bank offers you the opportunity to control automatic transfers by mobile phone. With this purpose you need to indicate your mobile phone number in your application and the bank will automatically send you a relevant "SMS" notification. |
| HOW TO REGISTER FOR DIRECT DEBIT? |
| First of all you need to open a current account in TBC bank.
